How to hi light every line in numbers and get rid of white behind words.

I am using Numbers and have made a spread sheet of 100 dresses etc. I want to have alternating rows of data in a color ie: white- grey etc. without doing it one line at a time.

Also, when I do it one at a time the cell would be get the email address is blue and the area right behind the email is white.

I know this is easy but I cannot find the answer on line. help.
