Hey ritz,

You can use a 61W charger to charge your iPhone 8 Plus, but it wouldn’t be ideal. The charger won’t damage your phone, but your phone can only charge up to 29W at most. I would just purchase the 20W USB-C Power Adapter. If you want to purchase it, here is the link:
