App not allowed in focus mode, but i'm still getting notifications

My Outlook app is not allowed in my "home focus" mode because i don't want to get my work emails after 5pm at home (not set to time sensitive either). But notification center keeps sending "home focus is on, but there was an outlook notification silenced". What's the point? I don't want to know if there was anything silenced. This is why i've shutted outlook between 5pm and 8am. Any idea how to turn this off?? Annoying.

mrcll80,

No problem! We know how important it is to focus on work during working hours and your home and family when you're not working.

Do other notifications from other Apple apps that are not allowed in the Focus appear in the Notification Center when you have the same enabled? For example, do you see Mail or Messages notifications there? Knowing this will help us determine whether the issue is with the Outlook app compatibility or the Focus settings.

We look forward to learning more.

Marcell,

It's possible this is expected behavior. The purpose of a Focus is to not interrupt you with a notification while you have that Focus enabled, and the purpose of Notification Center is so that you can come back to your notifications after the fact. If you're not seeing notifications for Apple built-in apps on the Lock Screen, but you see them when you open Notification Center, it's likely expected.

You may consider contacting Apple Support directly for clarification.

Cheers.

Hi, mrcll80.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! We understand that you’re using Focus to ensure you’re not disturbed with work emails after working hours, but you’re still getting the notification in Notification Center that a notification was silenced with the Outlook app on your iPhone. We may be able to offer some guidances.

Do you have “Allow silenced notifications to appear on the Lock Screen” disabled?

Hi,

UPDATE: i tried this with another app (Mail app) and leaded to the same result. Also not set to time sensitive.

Mail app is not set in my home focus but i just got the same message: "during home focus Mail notification silenced" or something like that. I'm not using the phone in english, but this is what it means.

I was hoping that i'm only gonna get this message with outlook app, but no. So if you have any other idea, let me know...

Thanks

Marcell

Hi,

Thank you so much for taking care of this issue. I appreciate it.

I don't get any other notifications, only outlook. Actually the thing is, i have all other apps that could possibly notify me enabled. Messenger, gmail, instagram, facebook... i have all these enabled because i want my friends to find me after work hours.

Maybe i should start testing another email app (work email app) but i really got used to outlook now, so i wouldn't just wanna throw it away.

So any other idea?

Thank youuuu!!!
