Some movies on different streaming services seem to come and go. We have purchased a lot of movies that are currently in our Apple TV library.
If we go to TV+ do we lose any movies if they no longe exist on ATV and also in the future if a movie we have currently purchased gets taken by a different service will we lose it ?

Your movies, if you download each, will never go away and can always be streamed through home sharing or directly in the TV app on the Apple TV device. Apple TV+ content is only available on the Apple TV app.
I think you also may have a misunderstanding of what Apple TV and Apple TV + are. It can be confusing so if the information below helps, great!
Apple TV+ is $4.99 per month, everything else in the Apple TV app are additional charges. If you are unclear on what the difference is between Apple TV+ and what the Apple TV app is it's pretty simple.

Thx Muguy. In regards to downloading the movies, I'm assuming that just by purchasing them they are not downloaded. To download them, does this need to be done on either an iPad or a computer and then in the future if need be just screen share it with the TV.
If we don't actually download them are you saying that even though we have purchased them that we may lose some if the movie "leaves" apple ?

Apple TV + is accessed from within the Apple TV app. Do you own an Apple TV or do you have another device that has access to the Apple TV app. If you are unsure please click https://www.apple.com/apple-tv-app/devices/

Thx for this and yes i think i have had it wrong. ATV+ wouldn't replace ATV, if we wanted ATV+ we would actually have both if we wanted to ?
