iPad Pro stuck in a "Attempting Data Recovery" Loop
Hi! Just bought an M1 iPad Pro (11-in) today but very sadly forgot the password to it shortly after. Tried to connect it to iTunes via my Windows laptop, since I do not own a Mac, and was able to initially "restore it" after following the directions on the Apple website by forcing it to go into recovery mode and pressing the volume up and down and power button till the iTunes icon appeared and a window on iTunes with the option "update" and "restore" appeared.
The 20-min long recovery process went smoothly, however instead of my screen going back to the initial set up screen where you choose the language, wifi, etc. it went to a blank white screen with "Swipe up to recover." I proceeded to do so where it prompted me for my passcode, whether I entered it correct or not did not matter, and then said "Attempting Data Recovery." By the end of it/the process, it said "Data Recovery Failed." I have tried multiple times but each time have failed to no avail and my iPad will end up looping back asking for my passcode and saying "Attempting Data Recovery" "Data Recovery Failed."
I have also tried to force it back into recovery mode again with the volume/power button method but the original iTunes/recovery icon does not appear nor will it connect to iTunes. Instead the Apple logo will appear and then it will say "iPad Unavailable, Try Again in 5 Minutes" and then repeat the Data Recovery cycle mentioned above.
Anyone know what's causing this? Don't know why it didn't work the first time nor do I know what to do now.
