How do I verify my account if I changed my phone number?

It is possible to receive a reset by email. You have to fight through the iforgot website.
When you get the “Didn’t get a verification code?” Prompt, select “Can’t use this number”. Continue to “Start Account Recovery”. Eventually you can ask for a code by email. At some point you can change your phone number. I needed to enter credit card info, but it will still take another day or more to validate.
