Apple TV and Verizon Fios compatibility

I just purchased an Apple TV and am having severe problems making it work with Verizon Fios router.
I have gone through Apple support and Fios Support with no resolve. My last support was the change of the WEP key to a WPA. That did not work. The Apple TV can't be recognized as a device on ITunes. I have no idea what to do and so far neither does Apple or Fios support techs. Anyone out there have any info on what to do?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Have you successfully connected to the router?

If you have you should be able to access iTunes store on the AppleTV.

AppleTv seeing the internet via the router can be a separate issue to it seeing iTunes on your intranet, which can be due to software glitches or security software/firewalls.

If you've not connected successfully at all to the router, I would start by disabling all wi-fi security on the router just to see if it'll connect that way to ensure your AppleTV wi-fi card isn't bad.

Clearly don't leave it like that, and if possible disconnect from internet while still having wi-fi active, and power down other network devices.
