Hmm, Rudegar is correct. It should work.

However, the charging port could be dirty. Check it for lint or other debris and see this:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge

Thanks, I used it about 8 times for charging and now the port will not accept either USB-A or USB-C for charging support says it should work but neither does
