Forgotten Password for an external disk

I have somehow forgotten the password set up for my external disk used for time machine backups and photos library purposes etc.

Keychain can't help either despite having placed a 'hint'.

Complete check mate! 🤔

Any tips to get around this frustrating issue would be most appreciated, thanks in advance.

Cheers

Doesn't your keychain already have the password stored? That said, I remember be prompted on several occasions for the Time Machine volume password. Did this happen only after upgrading to Monterey? If so, would reverting to the pre-upgrade version of macOS allow the Time Machine volume to mount automatically?

P.S. Below is an entry from my keychain
