iPhone 8 microphone issues

iPhone 8 microphone issues

Hi there

i am having issues with the microphone on iPhone 8.

the microphone works fine with Safari, phone calls, Siri, camera/video recording

the microphone does not work for what’s app, messenger, FaceTime, voice memo.

everything works with EarPods

I have tried the following:

microphone settings for each app

reset all settings

cleaned mics

reinstalled each app

using EarPods is not a problem most of the time but on occasion this gets very annoying.

any help much appreciated.
