We know how important it is for Safari to remain on your desktop, and we’re here to help. We’re also glad you were directed here from the Update or reinstall Safari for your computer article.
To confirm, it sounds as though Safari isn't showing in the Dock on your Mac. If so, does Safari still appear if you go in to Finder > Applications? If so, you may have to add Safari to the Dock using the steps outlined in the article below.
