trying to figure out if I can use my WD discovery with new computer (UEFI) issue
apple opened an advertisement with no "X" or other way to close it...
hijacked... join the cloud or buy something or... stuck with the window forever?
PS, apple... I purchased the Discovery because I wanted to back up locally...

I just googled the close window command. Try Alt-4. Or, just close the application and re-open it.
confused about "close the application and reopen it".... the apple window was not part of another application
it opened as I tried to set up a WD My Book
hanging in the middle of the screen... immovable
I ended up closing everything I had been working on and restarting

What happens if you click on the two little lines in the upper left? What about using the keyboard command for closing a window?

usually, there is an "x" somewhere though, the least customer supportive types like to hide them

It's part of some application. All windows are part of an application or the operating system.
That is interesting, it was the only window open and I didn't think to look at the "task manager"
