Why doesn’t iPhone allow text responses on a Garmin device?

I have a Garmin Fenix 6 pro solar watch. Previously, with my android phone, I was able to respond to text messages with saved responses for this device. Now that I’ve switched to iPhone I’m told I no longer have the ability to use this function. Why?

Ask Garmin, it would be up to them how they programed their device to work.

Thanks for the reply. I should have said that I already did ask Garmin and they said only android allowed it by their knowledge but I was hoping Apple might have a way they aren’t aware of for making an iOS system work with the Garmin product?
