here is Apple's documentation.. which does not list the 6 Plus and is not deceiving at all..
maybe you can provide a link for what you are seeing?

Hello ~ The 6s and 6s plus are compatible with iOS 15.2 not the 6 plus. Take a look here:

iPhone 6 plus is on the list of compatible devices.
This information listed clearly on apples website is my only reason I believed it would be.
iPhone 6 plus should be taken off the list of compatibility for the newer iOS.
it is deceiving & obviously not true.
Like I said, "allegedly".
I wouldn't have wasted my time asking for help if it wasn't.
iOS 15 has it under their list on the apple website.
I appreciate your time.
I looked it up looking for reassurance that it was impossible for my phone & was instead surprised to find my phone listed on a long list of compatible iPhones. this lead me here to see if there was a possibility.
I'm sure I'm the only dinosaur iPhone user with this problem.

It's not capable of 13 or above. To update it to 12.5.5, use a computer or the Software Update function in Settings.

Your iPhone is maxed out at 12.5.5. You would need a 6s in order to go beyond that version of iOS.
No, it really is not on the list of compatible devices anywhere.
As Chris posted above: please post the link to that document.
