can I import a song from Music into Logic Pro 10.7.2?

I would like to import tracks from a music study course into tracks in Logic Pro. Is this possible? Sure doesn't seem easy so far

Hi Richard Strachan1,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We see you have a question about importing tracks into Logic Pro X. We'd like to see how we can help out with this.

You should be able to use these steps to Import compressed audio files into Logic Pro:

  • "In Logic Pro, drag the audio file you want to import from the Finder into the empty workspace area below the existing tracks.

A new audio track containing the audio region is created."

You'll want to make sure the track is in one of these formats:

"You can use the Finder to import compressed audio files of the following file types into a Logic Pro project:

  • AIFF
  • WAV
  • AAC
  • MP3
  • Apple Lossless"

The source of the files could also be a factor, depending on whether they might be protected.

We hope that helps. Take care.
