Proper charger for AppleWatch

Got an Apple Watch for Christmas. Since it didn’t come with a charger I bought a 30W one.

is the 30W too powerful for the battery?

The Apple Watch charging puck and the Apple Watch will only draw what it needs, and stop when it is satisfied.

The charging brick does not control that. In fact you can use the 140watt 16” Macbook Pro M1 Max charger, and the Apple Watch will still only take what it needs at the rate it desires.
