clock "running" slow on MacBook Air under MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
I have already found a question about this but any follow up is disabled. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8638532?answerId=34192670022#34192670022
I have an old computer (mid 2011) and I cannot update it beyond High Sierra. My computer has the "Set date and time automatically" enabled with the "time.apple.com" server. It has been "running slow" twice: once by 8 minutes and once by 5 minutes. I use as a reference my iPhone and two other computers in the same room, all connected to the internet and all showing exactly the same time (this answers the objections of KiltedTim and BobTheFisherman at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8638532?answerId=34192670022#34192670022). This computer is always on and connected to power. It is used like a desktop in spite of the fact that it is a laptop. I never run it on the battery. . It has not been powered off since late 2019.
New Question: what may cause this problem? Are there known problems? Is this part of the "natural course of aging"? Thank you.
