I am sorry you are in this situation. I hope this is helpful but do not want to get your hopes up that much can be done without the card in your possession.
Contact your card issuer and file a police report.
There is likely nothing that you can do. If you purchased the gift card with a credit card, contact the card issuer.

No I used a credit card to purchase the apple gift card for the person who was pretending to be my friend on Facebook! Then like an idiot I gave them the information. I thought I was adopting a puppy. It was a scam.

If you used a credit card, contact the credit card company. It's unlikely that you used a credit though to purchase a gift card from a "friend."
You mean contact the gift card issuer or the credit card issuer?
