My iPad cracked and I need to know where I go for my protection to cover it?

Screen protection should be considered before the screen is damaged - not after. Screen damage will inevitably worsen over time - even it the screen appears to be working without issue. A cracked screen can be hazardous as glass can splinter.


If your screen is cracked or damaged, it will need to be replaced - which can be expensive. An out-of-warranty repair, unless covered by the additional cost AppleCare+ insurance policy, will cost c.60% of the “as new” price of your iPad. If your iPad is more than a few years old, a screen replacement/repair is unlikely to be economic.


Repair can be arranged through the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - or use the direct mail-in facility for which a free shipping kit will be sent to you:
