How do I turn off iPhone XR? I tried restarting it by pressing the power button and volume button simultaneously and it doesn’t work. My apps are also not opening up but my touch screen works where I can swipes to see all my apps but none open when I click on them. What should I do?

That kind of glitch can be overcome by Forced restart

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, immediately release the button.
