My mac tells me that I need something called a Macintosh HD to do my software update.

How can I update my mac, I dont have the macintosh HD and I really dont want to have to go out and buy one.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

Your Mac comes with an internal Macintosh HD...(?)
