Why is there a solid red splotch and a line across the top of my iphone 11 screen? It has gotten a bit worse over time and seems to be spreading to the left side of the screen. Is it dead pixels? Do I need to get my screen replaced, how can I prevent this from happening?
Those aren't dead pixels. Not likely a bad connector, which might result in streaky lines. I've seen some weird intermittent stuff (strange lines) after an Apple device was dropped one too many times, but yours doesn't look like that. Does it go away sometimes and then come back? Probably something physical with the display's control lines.
Are you OK with it as long as it doesn't get too bad? The only likely fix is a new display.
