Set up a 2nd ID on the phone or create a 2nd ID?

You can use 2 IDs on the phone by signing one into iCloud and another into Messages/FaceTime, but you can't sign 2 Apple IDs into the same place at the same time.

To create a new Apple ID, create a new ID (if necessary)on another Apple device/computer and sign into iCloud using the same Apple ID on the other Apple device/computer. You should then be able to sign in.
