Google has nothing to do with finding your phone; there is no way Google can help find it. If it is offline you can’t find it either, but as long as you don’t remove it from your account the phone will remain unusable to anyone.

Beware of a common phishing scam: You may get a text or email from “Apple” or “Apple Security” saying your phone has been found and to click on a link to see its location. This is NEVER from Apple; it is from the thief or fence to steal your Apple ID and identity. Delete any such message without responding to it.

See if your homeowner’s insurance or the credit card you purchased it with has loss coverage.
