Mac Pro and Monitor will not talk to each other

after power outage my Mac Pro Computer does not talk to my monitor.Have checked cables. Screen comes up & says no signal then goes into sleep mode. Please let me know what I can do.

Do a search for SMC reset and or pram zap specifically for your model of Mac.

Try it in safe mode, which uses a simple low default resolution.

If no joy, you need more known-good equipment to swap around and find the device that is not cooperating in every case.

If your Mac has a graphics card with multiple outputs, you may be able to try a different output, possibly with a different adapter..
