No emojis on messenger iPad 11pro

In a previous discussion about this some solutions were:

• deleting the Emoji keyboard and adding it again: Settings > General > Keyboard
• ensure the app was the latest update by going to the App Store
• ensure the latest update to iPadOS
• force restarting the iPad

I have the iPad Pro 12.9 with the latest iPadOS 15.2.1 and whilst I experienced the Emoji issue when I first updated to iPadOS 15 last year I think it was a force restart that worked for me https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/ipad/ipad9955c007/ipados

If you are referring to Facebook Messenger, that would be up to them. If you are referring to Messages, the Apple iMessage app, then you use the emoji keyboard, added in Settings>General>Keyboard. If it is there, you just access it using the emoji key in the bottom left corner of the keyboard.

Hi Byfleet123, if it is Facebook Messenger you are referring to, you can use emoji's in two ways:

1. When typing a chat you can tap the emoji symbol on the right and it brings up some emoji options, and
2. When replaying for forwarding a chat, press and hold the chat, and the emoji option pops up with some options. Additional options are show when you tap the + icon.

If it’s Facebook Messenger, you need to contact Facebook.
