Sort contacts
Can I sort some of my contacts by company name even if I have a contact person name on that company in that contact, while keeping my friends and family as sorted by name and/or is it automatic?

Seems it is automatic:
you can only order Contacts either by "First Name" or "Last Name" on iPhone.
You can choose which word you put, (First or Last) (eg: choose to put Name or Company Name or both ? ) so it suits you
Also you can make (eg:) family members (or certain Companies) "Favourites".

Select a contact, scroll down, then tap Add to Favorites.
