Wireless printing is very slow from my iOS devices (iphone 13 pro and iPad Air) to my HP Envy 7164 printer (on the list and AirPrint compatible). Wireless printing from my macbook is fast. All of the printer settings including firmware are up to date. All devices are on the same wifi network. Print page settings are plain paper, normal quality. I cannot see what is causing the problem. Any thoughts appreciated.
Did you also try to restart the printer? While that is a bit longer than one would expect, what app are you using to print from? I know that some of my Word documents can take a little longer to print. However, I'm not aware of any other troubleshooting you can do or settings that you can check, especially since the documents are printing. Most problems are a lack of connection between the iOS device and the printer.
What troubleshooting have you tried? How slow do you mean is slow? Rendering on the iOS devices is going to be much different than the MacBook, so that can have an affect. You can try powering the iPhone and iPad off and back on again and try.
It takes from 1-2 minutes to print a simple 1page text file with no images with iOS devices, and 5-10 seconds on my MacBook pro. Powering both iOS devices off and back on has no effect.
