How to text/mms i.a. picture to DURING A CALL to another party, if that other party on the call is NOT in address book?

How to text/mms i.a. picture during a call to another party, if the other party is NOT (!) in the address book. For example, the other party (with caller ID displayed) has called me and we are in conversation, or I have called the other party by manually typing in their phone number and we are in a conversation. So during THAT phone conversation, how do I send a picture to THAT party? With only the cel phone number known, so no eMail or other social media known.

Thanks. However, when I do this, their phone number disappears from my screen. So I would have to write down their number first on a piece of paper and then enter their number into the phone again. All in a conversation. There has to be another simpler way?

I investigated a bit further.

The underlying issue here seems to be that IOS is NOT listing the current call within the recent contacts. Therefore, the user has no ability to access that number from the phone, other than resorting to manually re-typing it in (obviously prehistoric).

In that sense I am not sure how to read your most recent reply. This is clearly a major bug in IOS and needs attention. Especially, because this has never been the issue on my other true business phone (I use the phone for business).
