Hello, I’m not good with a lot of tech/phone basics, my boyfriend is. I’ve been having lots of problems recently but I can’t pin point it.How can I check to see if there are spy apps or programs ?

Your iPhone would have to have been jailbroken to put any spy apps on it. If you have given him your phone, passcode, Apple ID/password then it would be possible that he jailbroke it and added software. If you haven't done this then you don't have any spyware.
