Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! From our understanding, you are attempting to share your screen in FaceTime but the option is greyed out, is that right? We see that you're coming from this article: Share your screen in FaceTime on your iPhone or iPad.

You mentioned that your device is up to date( assuming you're running iOS 15.2.1), is your contact's device up to date as well?

Have you restarted your device since noticing this issue?

Restart your iPhone

You'll also want to be sure that you are using an app that is compatible with screen share.
