Question

Telegram App erratic from Appstore

I use Telegram on my Ipad since long time. Now I am benchmarking an Android Tablet and I wonder if the app from the Apple Store is erratic. On opening the comment page of posts, I get a message like „Unfortunately this group couldn‘t be displayed on your device“.

I do not see this message on the Android Version of Telegram.

Any Idea why this widely used App from the Apple Appstore is distributed with this error?

Or do I make a mistake?

Use Signal, or iMessage, or an alternative, and send your bug reports and your feedback to Telegram support.

I’m having exact same issue. Appears Apple doesn’t care to help with it.

Meanwhile it looks to me that what appears to be a simple error to the user is wanted by Apple, god knows why! By the way, the same issue appears, if on an Android Phone the Telegram App is downloaded from Google Playstore. I luckyly installed mine directly from the APK from the Telegram Website. This Version is fine. But we have no choice with our Apple devices.......

Thank you for this advice. I just wanted to add, that IF somebody wants to see them, just install the APK as mentioned above. If somebody does NOT want to see them, there is NO issue, and nothing to discuss about, correct?

That makes me even less inclined to use or recommend the app, but you do you.

Now I cheched a bit more: This error is not with ALL posts. Only some of them do not work! How can this happen! On my Android tablet everything is fine!
