Is there a way to search for text in Apple News app from iPad Pro?

How does one search for text in Apple News+ articles while reading with iPad Pro (2018)? I love to read using my iPad Pro. It is literally a different reading experience for me on iPad vs iPhone or MacBook Pro. I loved the Apple News so much I became a subscriber to Apple One. I prefer reading and holding the iPad Pro in portrait mode, like holding a magazine. I just wish I could search within some articles without having to use a keyboard or other device.
