The App Store asks me to put in a payment method

why is the App Store, when I download apps I’ve already downloaded before asking me to put in a payment method and when I do and it’s not wrong it’s telling me to update my payment because it was declined and I’m confused also about if it’s charging me for a pre-download app that was free.


And I don’t know if this is Apple or my tablet stupid but my tablet won’t connect right even though it has full bars and I have unlimited data on both my tablet and iPhone. In though I had put my iPad it is happening also with my iPhone

Can I firstly suggest that you update to the latest iPadOS 15.2.1 (if you have not done this already) as updates can help resolve some problems. The following link can help you:

In regard to your payment method for the App Store, the following link may help resolve this issue:

I am not sure about not connecting right but maybe the following link might help as it discusses Network/WiFi problems:
