You could try downloading and installing an ad-blocking extension from the Mac App Store. Have a look through each one and check out it’s features and reviews, and download and setup one that you think will work for you.


Me personally, I use Adblock Pro.

Follow these helpful steps:


  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Safari
  3. Tap Block Pop-ups to toggle on


Unfortunately, there’s no solid way of blocking ads.


Ad Blockers don’t always work, but they compromise your security by logging your keystrokes (dangerous for username/password access to your Amazon or bank account).


There are tricks to avoid ads, such as using the Reader view (100% blocks all ads completely).
