Will a temporarily disabled iPhone still backup to iCloud automatically?

If an iPhone is in a temporarily or permanently disabled state, will it still backup to iCloud automatically, or not? What if it had insufficient storage before becoming disabled, but then storage was increased afterward?

A disabled iPhone does nothing. It is inert and does not connect to cellular nor WiFi data connections. It is disabled, meaning it does nothing.

And the only way to reset a disabled device requires erasing it -> If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support
