Forgotten Passcode

Hi

My daughter has changed her passcode on an iPhone 12 and since forgotten it. She is able to message me using Siri and that’s about it.

she is on family sharing so I have the option to erase her phone from my iPhone. If I do that will I be able to restore her phone and reset the passcode?
