Email notifications for iOS release
Hi there,
I am missing notifications that new iOS releases are available. Is there an email list I can join to receive notifications of new iOS versions being released?
Cheers

Yeah I want to manually backup my iPhone and no auto upgrade. I never saw a notification from my phone that 15.2 or 15.2.1 was available. I think its time for Apple to set up an email notification mail list. There is inadequate notifications.
Given the news cycle when iOS updates are released, one just needs to open their iPhone after reading or seeing a news story about an iOS update to then take the time to open Settings>General>Software Update and if there is an update, it will appear. It will not automatically install then, and it gives you ample time to prepare before installing. Waiting for seeing information in the news also provides you with the ability to learn if there are any possible issues with the update before installing it and finding out on your own. You are welcome to provide feedback to Apple if you would like to see them setup such a notification. While it may not occur, this link is how Apple gets this type of information users provide desiring to see change. Use this link Feedback - iPhone - Apple
Apple does not provide such a list. Once an iOS update has been released, you will eventually be notified of the release if you keep your iPhone connected to wi-fi and power overnight when you are waiting for iCloud to backup your iPhone. It will download the latest update and notify you, unless you have Auto Update checked there and it will automatically install it. If you just do what I indicated at first, you will just download and then get a notification on the phone and see a red badge on the Settings app.
