Paying apple card charges
if you do not use ACMI, and pay in full, it looks like one pays interest, etc. This does not sound right.

ACMI or Apple Card Monthly Installments is an option for purchasing some Apple products purchased from an Apple Retail Store or online at Apple .com for a specific term in months and paying 0%.
If you choose not to purchase via an Apple Installment Plan your Apple Card MasterCard works like any other card and purchase must be paid in full by the due date to avoid interest charges.

I’ve had Apple Card installments. The minimum payment for the installment is included in the minimum payment on the installment. So, if you pay your monthly minimum your installment will be paid in full with no charged at the end of the set term. You can pay the installment in full without penalty or interest.
If your purchase a product on the first day of the month and charge it to your Apple Card, the purchase price plus any tax etc. will be on your statement that closes the last day of the month. To avoid interest charges the total amount due on the statement closing date must be paid in full by the last day of the following month. The month following the close of the statement is known as the Grace Period.
You lose your Grace Period by not paying a statement in full. This does not include your installment plan. Pay your minimum payment each month or payoff the installment and no interest will be incurred on the installment plan purchase. Regular purchases may incur interest charges if not paid in full when due.
Even if there was interest, after paying in full the balance is zero. 21.99% interest rate on $0 is $0.
Jeff, here is the legalise that I have found. It seems to imply that if one pays in full, they are subject to a finance charge. I think this is worded incorrectly. Maybe someone at Apple reads these.
Thanks

Apple Card Monthly Installments is a payment option available to select at checkout for certain Apple products purchased at Apple Store locations, apple.com, the Apple Store app, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE, and is subject to credit approval and credit limit. Variable APRs for Apple Card, other than Apple Card Monthly Installments, range from 10.99% to 21.99% based on creditworthiness. Rates as of April 1, 2020. If you choose the pay-in-full or one-time-payment option for an eligible purchase instead of choosing Apple Card Monthly Installments as the payment option at checkout, your purchase will be subject to the variable APR assigned to your Apple Card. Taxes and shipping are not included in Apple Card Monthly Installments and are subject to your card’s variable APR
Jeff, you have the right info. When I read the fine print that i copied to you, it seems like those who pay in full are subject to interest charges. Spoke to person at Apple and she could not answer the question. I suggested she have it checked by the Bank.

DD
What is ACMI?
Jeff, I understand this. I am just saying that the way the fine print is shown, one might think that he/she will pay interest when the charge is paid in full.
Thanks for your comments.

Sounds right. I guess I am the only one who feels that the fine print is misleading and that someone should look at it and make changes as needed.
