I have had several times when I record on my watch series 3 the full distance of run on run, when I import to Strava only the last part of run is recorded. Yesterday ran 13k in watch but Strava imported only the last 8km, today ran 12.65k on watch imported to Strava the last 1.55km used the outdoor run option on watch.
I would suggest contacting the developers of Strava. Because your workout is actually being recorded accurately on Fitness, this would not be an Apple-related issue.
