airpods 2 bluetooth connection dropping in and out

Hi,

my - brand new- airpods 2 connection keeps dropping out. This happens when my iPhone is in my pocket and I tilt my head, when I lay my hand on my phone, even when my arm is passing my pocket as I walk.

I tried disconnecting and resetting in every way, on two different iPhones too.

So I guess exchange of repair will be the only option?

Thank you for your help,
