I let my subscription to Apple Fitness end. Now, I have a new Apple Watch series 3 which offers a 6 month promo code. I'm trying to figure out how to activate the promotion?

This explains how to activate your subscription. The free trial may well be once-in-a-lifetime, making you ineligible for the promotion.
