Good morning all! I'm trying to get into the startup manager in my iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021). I've hooked up the apple keyboard with the cable, and am pressing the OPTION-key at various moments in the startup process. From the moment I see any activity, during the chime, everyting. But the startup manager is nog firing up. Any ideas how I can remedy this?

Apple Support explained: accessing the Startup Manager on an iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021) is done by keeping the powerbutton pressed until it says 'loading startup option'. Once released then, it will go to the startup manager. No key combo's needed!

Also ensure the keyboard is plugged into the back of the iMac using the Lightning cable that shipped with the iMac.

Hi rkaufmann87, thanks for the rapid response. Tried this before, and doesn't help. I tried pressing the key from the moment I turn the iMac on, from the moment I see something happening, from the chime, but to no avail. The Startup Manager window doesn't show. So I'll try what you suggested and contact AppleCare.
