download iTunes on Mac OS monterey 12.1

I have a MacBook Air(early 2015, 13 inches) with an operating system MacOs Monterey 12.3.

how can I download the lates version of iTunes? as the one on the website (iTunes 12.8.3) will give me an error that I need an operating system 10.0.5 or earlier.

any suggestions would be appreciated

A relative has locked her phone due to passcode entered too many times incorrect, i can't access home screen on phone obviously. The phone does not show in finder after enabling external drives, etc and she did not have "find my" enabled so can't wipe remotely although i have icloud user/pass.

On Monterey so can't use iTunes, to reset phone any ideas ?

iTunes isn't supported on macOS 10.15 Catalina or later, i.e. Big Sur or Monterey. See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support and use the replacement apps provided.

Use the new apps instead.

Mac apps that expect to work with iTunes should generally be updated to work with Music. As a workaround you may be able to export the library as an XML file which third party software may be able to use to access your library.

I had that problem too, in MacOS Monterey you need to connect the iPhone/other device to you're Mac. Then open the "Music"

app if you're device is connected it'll show in "Devices", there's a button that says "Open In Finder" click on it and its like iTunes so you can restore/update and see storage and stuff. hope that's helpful.

iTunes was retired and replaced by Apple Music app, Apple TV app, Apple Books app, and Apple Podcasts app. 

Finder is used to sync content on iOS devices.

Downleod itunes on widows pc (if you have) or try virtual windows machine.

Unfortunately, only iTunes works for my (ancient) iPhone SE and my new(ish) M1 Mac Mini running Monterey 12.3.

I'm trying to fix a handshake problem - music syncing stuck in Step 3 of 4 (aka "The **** That Is 'Determining tracks to sync'"). The struggle is real (and unnecessary). Two hours at this and limited, ineffective solutions.

Apple should just be upfront and say, 'we don't support certain combinations of hard/software' and be done with it. The lack of info is what grates.

See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. Apple has provided new apps in Catalina through Monterey and onwards to replace iTunes, which isn't supported in this version of the operating system. iTunes can only be installed up to High Sierra, and was built in to Mojave.

Forgot to mention - there is no Music app for Monterey in the App Store.

Some weird amalgam of iTunes and music pops up on my Mac Mini when I plug in my phone. It's a bodge job, the love child no one dare name.

The Music app is built into the OS and cannot be downloaded or reinstalled from the app store. Reinstalling the OS is the only way to reinstall the app. Music and Finder in Monterey should be compatible with your iPhone SE. If you're having trouble syncing then you can try removing all Music from the device to clean things up and try syncing again, or backup the device, restore as a new device, then restore your backup for a more comprehensive reset.

I have tried syncing after clearing out all the music on my iPhone; still have problems.

I'll try your suggestion using the backup. I do want to avoid an OS reinstall, if possible.

BTW some apps need iTunes to work, so then?
