Privacy Warning

Hi as you can see I have this privacy warning on my iPhone 11 when it’s connected to my 5Ghz band of my Asus RT-AX55 router. Only pops up on the 5Ghz band, not the 2.4Ghz band also.

It doesn’t stop me using the device or anything but I’d like to find out how to resolve it so the warning no longer appears.

I have watched many YouTube videos and read many web pages and still no luck. Forgetting the network and reconnecting to it removes the warning only temporarily. Turning off private wi-fi address and back on, a similar result. I have even gone as far as resetting the phone’s network settings. No change.

I asked Asus support via YouTube for assistance and because it’s happening on an Apple device. They referred me straight to Apple. Anyone in the community who can shed a light on what setting in my router do I need to adjust to remove this warning?

Ps. I have tried the link which is below the warning as per the screenshot and none of the Apple troubleshooting fixes it.

You have already tried two of the 4 recommended tricks, the other two being hard reset the router to factory settings and uninstalling any VPN.

If it works and it is only that channel I would ignore it.

Hi LD150,

Thanks for your reply. I've never used a VPN on my router or on my iPhone before, so we can rule that out. I'm going to do a hard reset on my router, after it's next firmware is released and it's updated.

Yes I can easily ignore it but I'm still a little curious as to what is causing it. I'd love to know. Then if anyone has the same issue I can help them.
