Presumably both your iPad and iPhone are signed-in to iCloud with the same AppleID - and your files and services are currently synchronised. You can select which Apps and Services are synchronised from iPad/iPhone Settings:
Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud - select or deselect services and Apps that you wish the synchronise here
