You just need a proper plug adapter for your charger. The charger itself is a "universal" 100-240 volt charger.

Probably but you did not tell us what model/year your computer is. "Older" could be anything.
You don't need a spec you need an adapter to allow the US two/three prong plug to fit the UK socket.
Can you confirm that is true for my older model Mac Air?
And is there a specific spec for the adapter I should buy?
Sorry - assumed when I logged into this discussion and selected my computer model you had that data in hand to answer my question. I don't recall the exact year but these are the specs I could find on my computer.

For the Apple kit, just look on that page for compatible Macs. There is a rather large list there.
And as I said, You can just get a wall outlet adapter which is just fine for any product, and quite a bit cheaper. Just search on Amazon.
