Baffled:
Playing podcasts from my AW Series 4 through my Airpods Pro and the playback is slow. It's not "slow" as in "slowed down to 0.5x speed", but it's like when you play a vinyl record at, say, 28 rpm instead of 33 1/3 rpm. Even the person's voice is a lower pitch.
Podcast playback from iPhone is fine.
WatchOS 8.3; Airpods Pro model A2084 version 4C165 (according to Bluetooth settings screen)

Is this only with the AirPods? If so, it might help to try resetting them and re-pairing them with your iPhone, then testing out the Podcast playback through the Apple Watch: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

This is not related to 1x/2x playback speed as you’re suggesting. This is a pitch change, as if the person speaking on the podcast was using a voice changer so they sounded like a lower- picked person (for example, from a tenor to a baritone). Or if music is playing, it sounds like it’s in a lower key on the piano.
Before posting my question, I had un-paired and re-paired them with the Watch, toggled the Watch's Airplane Mode off and on, and restarted the Watch, and none of those actions helped.
In the day after I posted, however, the podcast playback direct from the Watch corrected itself and sounded normal. I don't know what happened. I had toggled Airplane Mode as usual for my workday but, as I said, it didn't fix the issue before, so I can't say if it helped this time.
I'm not considering this as "fixed" yet because I can't point to any steps that made it work. I also didn't do a reset using the button on the charging case.
My question now is, why would playback be slow like this? Again, it wasn't 0.5x speed, it was like playing a vinyl record at the wrong speed too slowly. How can I submit a bug report for it?
