My series 1 (A1553) watch has stopped working - I think it’s a faulty accelerometer? No step counting, doesn’t activate on raising wrist, doesn’t work in bed-side mode, etc. Have tried all solutions posted on this forum and conclude it’s a hardware issue. Can it be repaired? Disappointed that an expensive watch failed after only a few years - should have bought an Rolex!
I doubt that it can cost effectively be repaired. Apple will probably replace it with a refurbished model.
