Does fall detection require cellular or does GPS only watches work too?

I don’t think it requires cellular, but if you don’t have your iPhone on you, or a connection to Wi-fi and Wi-Fi calling enabled, it’s not of much use, since how will it contact emergency services!

They both work,the Gps only watch needs the phone to be with you whereas the cellular watch doesn't;
